About Drift.io

Drift.io is a multiplayer driving game that mixes racing with car combat. You drive fast cars around twisting tracks. You also fire weapons at the other players. The goal is to win real-time online matches. Good drifting gets you ahead, and good aim keeps you there.

How Drift.io Works

Race or Fight? Pick Your Mode

• Battle. Rockets, freezing lasers, and bouncing explosives fly around the arena. Your job is to survive and take others out.
• Grand Prix. This one is a real race. Drift cleanly, dodge dangerous items and reach the finish first.
• Time Trials. You chase the fastest lap of the month and a spot on the leaderboard.

How to Play Drift.io, Step by Step

Start in Time Trials. It’s the calmest way to learn the drift, since you’re only fighting your own lap time.

Move to Grand Prix. Now the track has traffic and hazards. Keep your drifts smooth and watch for items coming your way.

Try Battle. Use Space to fire what you have. Keep moving, because a car that stops is an easy target.

Win and open crates. Victories and crates unlock new vehicles, tires and wraps.

Customize your car. Crates unlock new vehicles, tires and wraps. Winning matches does the same. 

Bring friends. Make a private lobby for up to eight people, or join a global match.

• A / D: turn left/right
• S: brake or reverse
• Left Shift (hold): drift
• Space: use item
• Esc: pause

Playing Drift.io Tips 

Drift only where it pays. Hold Shift in corners, where the slide saves time. 

Keep your item until you have a target. Pressing Space the moment you get something is tempting. Wait a second. A rocket does more when a car is in front of it.

Look ahead, not just at the corner. In Grand Prix, hazards on the road matter as much as your line. A perfect drift into a trap still loses the race.
